Noxzema has recently changed their product line and packaging, and I can no longer find this product in the stores. I have very sensitive skin and have only been able to use high end dept store cleanser. I started using this product a few years back, and I absolutley love it! I was so disappointed when I could no longer find it. I have been trying different cleansers, but none work as well as this one does. I was so excited to find it on Amazon.com

Swimsuit for Apple shape body.. Help!?
I have an apple shape body. 36 D bra size and size 16 pants. I have nice legs, but a bit of a belly and big love handles. I need a couple new swimsuits. I’d like a one piece or a long tankini. This is by far the best facial cleanser I have ever used. Sadly it cannot be found in drugstores anymore. It has a tingly feeling without burning. Lite enough to use daily. I would highly recommend this product. Noxema better wake up and continue producing this!

  2. Irish Says:

If anything this is TOO soft! Haha, I found it funny after reading some others said it was too hard.

If anything the handle should be extended another 4-6″. It would be perfect so far has not fallen apart and is doing a good job so far.

  3. Maddocks Says:

Purchased this to get free shipping on my other purchases. Better to buy one in person. The bristles are too soft, not even good for back scratching! The handle is sturdy, might just last forever.

  4. Nunnally Says:

The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because I agree with some of the other reviews, it should be longer. I wish about 4 inches longer, and it’d be perfect! However, its not a huge issue, when I use it in the shower I can scrub my back from above my shoulder, and then from below to get my lower back.

Also, you can’t tell from the pictures, but the brush needles are held in place by glue, not staples as I think someone else had written. No rust should occur on this since it’s all plastic.

  5. Kirkpatrick Says:

The main problem with the brush is that it will not hold soap——- and therefore it is rather useless in the shower.

To the bristles are too soft.

I am going to use the brushes in the garage for cleaning the wheels of the cars.

What ever happened to the ORIGINAL Herbal Essence shampoo (the green one), with the fresh herbal fragrance?! All these new herbal “Essences” (not Essence) shampoos are too darn sickeningly sweet. Did clairol forget about a whole generation that grew up on their ORIGINAL Herbal Essence shampoo?! It seems as though they did. When is Clairol (or P&G) going to bring back the ORIGINAL Herbal Essence shampoo (the one with the girl on the front of the bottle with flowers in her hair)? Shame on Clairol for discontinuing the ONE product that made them famous!

I’ve been using this for 6 months now and it works so well that it’s now officially one of my must-have products! Here’s why…..

First, just to give you an idea on what kind of hair I have, I’m an African American (AA) woman with type 4a hair (for those who don’t know – that means it’s pretty thick ;-D). When I first tried this product I didn’t use this on wet hair but on dry hair and the reason I didn’t was because I’ve dealt with other products that were specifically designed for “split end protection” and knew that when I tried to use them throughout my hair before, it made my hair a bit stiff and hard to manage. So this time I concentrated on just the ends with this product and it worked really well! So much so that I wondered what would happen if I used it on wet hair and combed it through! I tried it and come to find out, it still didn’t make my hair stiff but it came out soft and manageable!

The other benefit to this product is that aside from it protecting hair against the rough effects of rubbing against my shirt, it also does a great job with moisturizing my hair without making it oily. This is a big plus because I can’t tolerate oily hair!

The only thing I didn’t like about this product is that the product does have a sweet smell – something I didn’t mind at first but soon found it wearing on me. But I soon figured out that if I put it on in the morning rather than letting it sit on my hair overnight, it wasn’t as strong.

All in all, it’s a great product for split end protection and moisture and that makes it great for length retention. Not to mention that the price is more than fair for what it does! It’s definitely worth looking in to!

  8. Niu Says:

This products when used daily helped with the dryness and spilt ends of my hair. I would highly reccommend.

  9. Bickett Says:

This is The best leave In I ever bought…..It made my hair soft and silky..It also made the split ends much less noticable.
    (So Its A must Have) I love L.T.R ^_^

  10. Fields Says:

I purchased this razor a little over a month ago, however due to a busy work schedule I only had the time to use it a few days ago.
All I can say is “WOW!”. This thing cuts VERY CLOSE provided you position the razor at a correct angle to your face. I have done some research online and apparently what you should shoot for is a thirty degree angle from the razor blade’s edge to your face. I must admit it is a little unnerving at first shaving with this razor because you can actually hear and feel the whiskers being cut-similar to the sound made if you were to rub your hand over sandpaper. You want to be sure you use plenty of shaving cream and frequently wet the razor either in a filled sink or under the faucet. Also you need to use very short shaving strokes relative to say a mach 3 or another modern razor. This is to ensure that the correct angle is maintained. One final thing to remember is that you don’t need to press the razor into the skin to shave closely-you will cut yourself if you attempt this. The weight of this razor is significant relative to today’s plastic versions and the weight of it alone is plenty to make good contact with your skin.

  11. Gelb Says:

Picking this up for the first time, you realize how incredibly heavy it is. This thing looks like it will last forever. My Gillette feels like a toy compared to this one. It is not hard at all to shave with a safety razor and the learning curve is not steep at all. This will be something I will keep for a long time because of its simplicity and cheap blades. The Gillette was costing me almost $2 per cartridge which is ridiculous. I switched a few months ago and haven’t looked back.

  12. Fagan Says:

The long handle Merkur is the one to get; it’s much easier to control than the standard stubby length.

  13. Newberry Says:

I have had this razor for two months (I used to use one like this many years ago). This razor gives a great shave, but only if you don’t rush the shave and don’t use a lot of pressure during the shave. Let the weight of the razor do the job. Once I learned to not use a lot of pressure when shaving, I got a very close shave….without any cuts or scrapes.

  14. Iverson Says:

I really like this product, my hair looks great. What I like about this product is that I still have my curls but they are soft and freeze free.

  15. Fick Says:

I am a liscensed Cosmetologist as well as a Cosmetology instructor. I have been using this product for over a year and I would recommend this product to anyone who is unhappy with the texture of their hair. I HAD cousre, curly, kinky hair. I have tried all the proffessional products out there and damaged my hair in the process, but not with this product. Also as a stylist I smelled alot of products that are used on textured hair that smell aweful and this product is not even close to smelling bad, infact many of my students like the way it smells. Before I started using this product I would have to choose between having the haircolor that I want or having smoothe hair. With this product I get the best of both worlds. I also had difficulty with my damage ends splitting and breaking off, making it impossible for my hair to grow past my shoulders, but not anymore. It is very easy to use and as well as maintain and if you use the shampoo and conditioner in this product line the results will last you along time, just need to apply it to your new growth every 6 to 8 weeks.

  16. Keystone Says:

The most important step in this process is to flat iron the hair in small sections with a very hot (450 degree) flat iron. If you only dry it wih a hair dryer, it will not fuze the product to your hair. The texture of my hair, once it was dry with the product on, was not that great, but once I did the flat iron step…wow! I had my hair professionally straightened 8 weeks ago, and although I loved it, it didn’t last very long and it was very expensive. So far, the results from this product are even better than the salon treatment (I had lots of flyaway hairs for several days). There is no smell at all, and it’s not sticky. I probably only used 1/4 of the spray bottle (was nervous after reading some comments). I think it was plenty…I guess my first shampoo will be the test. My hair is so soft and not a bit frizzy. From my last treatment, I know this does not eliminate all curls (I would say 30-40 percent) but the frizz is gone. Can’t wait to see the post wash results!!

  17. Drake Says:

I am a hairstylist and have done the Keratin treatments (not liquid) in my hair 7 times so far. (Every 3 months) Each time, my hair gets better and better. The more damaged the hair, the better the results.

It is a godsend for people with frizzy hair or who want to relax the curl. The reason this doesn’t work, is that it doesn’t contain any sort of formaldahyde. That is what gets the hair smooth , not keratin….even though that’s what companies want you to believe,( that is also what they tell the stylists in classes.) I have done extensive research because for me it is the best thing created and I wanted to learn all I could about keratin.

We have 4 different kinds of Keratin in our salon with different strengths. When you heat the hair with a 450 degree iron (420 for very fine damaged hair) it turns it into a kind of formaldahyde. That is what will get it smooth.

The best thing to do if you want to save money is to buy a brand on ebay, craigslist, that is used in a salon. Coppola ,or simply smooth are good ones. THe stuff is expensive. It costs the salon $ 110 for 8 oz. Most people need 2 to 3 oz. ( 2 0z for medium thickness should be enough. )You want to get it on, but not saturate the hair.. When you comb it thru, you don’t want tons on the comb. The most important thing is flat ironing it in small sections and waiting the recommended time to wash it.

Just want to save people money…that this product doesn’t work.
    Good luck

  18. Douglass Says:

Super. I love this razor. It puts ALL of the newfangled, multi-edged plastic razors to shame. No comparison. This is definitely the last razor I will ever buy.
